Growing and raising our foods has changed radically in the last five decades. Mechanized farming, synthetic chemicals, genetic manipulations, and altered seed stock are some innovations that produce greater yields. While some feel these modern methods are a necessity if there is to be enough affordable food for everyone, at Rondelli Deli believe that they pose a threat to the health of our customers, to the well-being of our community, and to our environment.
Rondelli Deli commits to uphold, quality, availability, and to minimize cost. Key factors to our buying decisions include: where food items are raised or grown, ways in which they are processed, and finally the consequences they have on our customer’s health, our community and the planet. The larger and longer a food supply chain becomes, the more difficult it is to control. We work only with reputable suppliers and food producers.
We are all about what we can do with food, and not to food. All our food preparations are produced by non-industrialized procedures. We only use methods and techniques that are straightforward and practiced artisanal skills. Tastes and processes are allowed to develop slowly and naturally, instead of being enhanced by additives and preservatives, or modified by machineries.
Rondelli Deli loves good food, but what we love even more is the opportunity to please customers with food. Contrarily to most companies in the fast food industry, our food counters are about wholesome food and human experience. Our focus is not offering extensive food choice options, but rather offer one or two things, do them like no one else can, and cheerfully serve them to customers.
